In The Valley Of The Storm by Prophetess Alice Williams

In the valley of the storm
Our storms are a sure way to either learn from what we are going through, or to give up from learning. But if we look at our problems, from a distance; then we will be able to see that it’s not as bad as it looks or feels. While in the valley of the storm, if we are not steadfast in our faith and in our walk with God, we will become off balanced; allowing our emotions to stand in the way of being able to clearly hear God speak. We cannot see the hand of God in our storms, when our hands are all in it. If we just be still, with our hearts towards the Lord and our hands at our side; then we will be able to feel the presence of God calming our storm and whispering to our waves; having all things to come under subjection of his will.
Psalm 107:29 (AMP)
He hushed the storm to a gentle whisper, So that the waves of the sea were still.
God knows that there will be storms, that we all will encounter in life, (it’s a sure given); and something that cannot be avoided. Life is a lesson, and God is the ultimate teacher; but it’s up to us if we want to be taught. We must be cheerful, even joy-filled when we are in the valley of the storm. Trust me God understands that we will become weak, even weary, emotional and tired; just know its ok to rest from the storm. What is the best way to stay calm in the storm? You ask… what I have learned is to constantly keep turning it over to Jesus, your emotions will try to overtake you, the devil will come to frustrate, irritate and aggravate you in the storm; making it seem worse than what it really is. In the valley of the storm, I’ve also learned to stay in the word of God, having scriptures to apply to your situation; gives you Spiritual strength to fight off the battle in your mind. And also, it sends the devil packing; for he can’t stand when we use the word of God, (out loud), he can’t stand for us to bleed the blood of Jesus against him; so, just as he comes to frustrate, aggravate and irritate your process. Turn all that back onto him, given him; what he’s given to you. But use the word of God, and send the devil packing; with all his imps!!
In the storm we must be willing to be dressed in the appropriate attire, which is the WHOLE ARMOUR OF GOD… STANDING TALL, AND GIRDED WITH THE TRUTH!!
I LIKE THE WAY THAT THE AMPLIFIED SAYS IT…
Ephesians 6: 10-18 (AMP)
be strong in the Lord (draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him) and in the power of His (boundless) might. 11. put on the full armor of God (for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier) so that you may be able to (successfully) stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood (contending only with physical opponents), but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this (present) darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places. 13. Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to (successfully) resist and stand your ground in the evil day (of danger), and having done everything (that the crisis demands), to stand firm (in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious). 14. So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth (personal integrity, moral courage) around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (an upright heart). 15. And having strapped on your feet, the gospel of peace in preparation; (to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news). 16. Above all, lift up the (protective) shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. 18. with all prayer and petition pray (with specific requests) at all times (on every occasion and in every season) in the Spirit and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition (interceding in prayer) for all God’s people.
Just because we are in the valley of our storm, God does not desire that we get selfish, only praying for ourselves; forgetting to keep in prayer for others. Our walk isn’t a selfish walk, we are responsible for not just the life of self, but for the lives of many; and although we cannot touch many physically, there is more we can accomplish through prayer. For when we take our eyes off the valley we are in and not only just be in constant prayer for self; but praying for others, God moves even faster on our behalf. Verse 18 Apostle Paul stated, with all prayer and petition pray (with specific requests) at all times (on every occasion and in every season) in the Spirit and with this in view, stay alert with all perseverance and petition (interceding in prayer) for all God’s people. When we take our eyes off the storm, having an open heart; being readily available to God so to be used, in any he sees fit. It gives God even more of an advantage to work on your behalf. God can’t do what he desires to do for us, (while we are in the storm) when we refuse to take our hands out of it. WE CAN’T SEE THE “SON” WITH OUR HEADS IN THE CLOUD…
In ending I leave you with this…
Lord, today I am choosing to take my storm and work through my struggles, and giving to you the things I have no control over; literally doing a serious study on myself. So to better, come out stronger with more of your wisdom; I am surrendering over to you all of what I can no longer bear. Knowing that you are an all-powerful god, I give you the chains that keeps me bound; the cycles that keeps me going in circles.
Lord, with a heart and desire to hear from you; I am choosing to push through this storm and the storms to come. Because, with you being the head of my life; I know I can do ALL things, for it is you that gives me strength. I am encouraged in knowing, the sun is awaiting me on the other side of the rain; so I must keep the faith, which is faith in you. And, I will not quit!! I know that storms don’t last always; and although my weeping at times seem to be long, your word says even my weeping will cease.
Having you in my life, I have everything to gain; and nothing to lose. Thank you, Lord for loving me, guiding me, directing me; and ordering my every step in your word.
I am excited because I know joy is awaiting me on the other side.
So I keep moving forward,
In Jesus name Amen…

Then they were glad because of the calm, And He guided them to their desired haven (harbor).
