Seeing Growth was founded in May 2006 by Emmanuel Brown to serve as a positive voice for the voiceless or those that lack a place to share their talents. We have featured and promoted the works of many writers from several different genre . We have also taken stands to spread inspiration through messages, initiatives and programs that are operated through Seeing Growth.
On September 24th, 2009 Seeing Growth created an initiative called "Label Me Royalty". Seeing Growth used Label Me Royalty to combine the stories of Men and Women to serve as positive alternatives to negative behaviors that our younger people saw as normal. This was an attempt to cure or hinder a huge problem in our communities instead of trying to create a remedy for the symptoms that we see.
This Seeing Growth initiative was started online in 2009 and took on a published form in November of 2010. I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History was created as an anthology series that includes the positive stories of over 150 men and women. I Am Royalty: Profiles In Black History began to reach the minds of young people by supporting them in ways that allowed them to see some of the positive examples that men and women are setting in our communities. The initiative shared positive influences through stories to help over-shadow the negative images that continue play dominant roles in what people are and should strive to be. These stories speak as a unified voice that says there are opportunities for everyone and that showing support to positive things can create progressive results.
The Seeing Growth website has switch platforms and has been totally reconstructed 3 times between 2011 and 2015. In 2015 Seeing Growth begin to focus on "Reaching Somebody" through economics, education, entertainment, health and wellness, inspiration, social commentary, spiritual awareness and through positive products.
Seeing Growth began working with youth ministry in 2015 called "What Does The Text Say Bible Study". This ministry focuses on the spiritual and personal needs of a few dozen youth. This initiative takes place every Friday night in the city of Chicago.
Seeing Growth continues to grow and still says "Each One - Reach One" or just "Reach Somebody".
